Achievements

Mr. Schroeder is an honors graduate of St. John's University and St. John's Law School. From 1983 to 1987, he was an Assistant District Attorney in New York, prosecuting high-profile cases. From 1987 to 1997, he was an Assistant United States Attorney in Atlanta, where he handled all types of cases, with a primary emphasis on complex white collar crime and health care.

Mr. Schroeder also served as an Associate Independent Counsel in Washington D.C., investigating allegations of fraud and mismanagement at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and was the lead prosecutor in a case against a former Cabinet Secretary.

Mr. Schroeder has successfully tried in excess of 100 cases and has received numerous awards, including the Department of Justice's Award for Outstanding Service to the Nation. He has also served as an instructor to attorneys, federal prosecutors, and federal and state law enforcement agents throughout the United States on a variety of topics, and has received commendations from Former President Jimmy Carter, Former Attorney General Janet Reno, and Former FBI Director Louis Freeh, among others.

Mr. Schroeder was the national co-chairman of the White Collar Crime Subcommittee of the Federalist Society, and is a Master of the Bleckley Inn of Court in Atlanta. He was appointed by the United States District Court in Atlanta to the Board of Directors of the Federal Defender Program, and was an adjunct professor of law in litigation at Emory University School of Law. Mr. Schroeder was a member of the Board of Advisors for Hughes Spalding Childrens Hospital in Atlanta, and was a founding member, vice president, and member of the Board of Directors of Hands-On-Atlanta, a nationally recognized, non-profit volunteer service organization. Mr. Schroeder is a member of the Board of Directors of Jacob's Ladder, a non-profit neurodevelopmental learning center in Georgia.

Mr. Schroeder has appeared as a legal analyst on CNBC, CNN, Court TV, National Public Radio, WSB-TV (Atlanta ABC affiliate), WXIA-TV (Atlanta NBC affiliate), WGCL-TV (Atlanta CBS affiliate), WAGA-TV (Atlanta Fox affiliate), and Georgia Public Television on a variety of occasions.
